Mrs. Mangum Funeral Today
Native of County Dies At Age of 95

Funeral for Mrs. Ellen Jane Mangum, 95, who died at 4 a.m. yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. M. McClintock, 1627 Battleground avenue, will be held at 4 p.m. today at Bethel Methodist church. Officiating will be Dr. R. M. Andrews, pastor, Rev. B. W. Lefler, former pastor, and Rev. R. H. Melvin, former pastor of Glenwwod Friends church. Interment will be in Green Hills cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.

Pallbeaers will be D. Ross Archer, Ernest Pearson, L. C. Hobbs, W. O. Bost, S. D. Ford, Sr., and Charles Archer.

Mrs. Mangum had been in ill health for several months and had been confined in her bed for the past month. Born near McLeansville, she had lived in Guilford county all her life. She was the oldest member of Bethel Methodist church.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. McClintock are three sons,
W. A., T. L. and A. F. Mangum, all of Greensboro, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Last rites for Mrs. Ellen Jane Mangum, 95, who died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. M. McClintock, 1627 Battleground avenue, were held at 4 p.m. yesterday at Bethel Methodist church. Officiating were Dr. R. M. Andrews, pastor, Rev. B. W. Lofler, former pastor, and Rev. R. H. Melvin , pastor of Glenwood Friends church. Burial was in Green Hill cemetery.
