PROSPECT HILL - Teresia “Joan” Oakley, 74, of Prospect Hill, North Carolina passed away on October 17, 2021 at her residence. She was born onMarch 20, 1947 to LewisMartin Hamlett and Alice ElizabethWillisHamlett, both deceased. She was the loving wife of Mr. Wayne Oakley and she was of the Christian Faith.
Other than her husband, she is survived by her children; a son, Kristopher “Kris” Oakley and a daughter, Lisa Clifford and her husband Jerry. Joan is also survived by her grandchildren, Dean Clifford(Lauren), Bailey Gregory(Alex) and Caleb Oakley, and also one great grandchild, Lucas Gregory. She is also survived by a sister, Jewell Whitlow(Tim) and a brother in law, John Richardson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Willis Hamlett and a sister, Rachel Richardson.
There will be a Celebration of Life held atWalker’s FuneralHome ofMebane on Friday, October 22, 2021 at 11:00am In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have donations made to AuthoraCare of Burlingon, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
