MEBANE - Mr. Max Henry Kernodle passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
A native ofMebane, he was the husband of 51 years to Jeanie Kernodle and son of the late Rev. James Frank Kernodle and the late Annie Mae Kernodle Shaw. Mr. Kernodle retired asAdministrator of the Presbyterian Home of Hawfield’s after 36 year of service. He was a member, Deacon and Elder at Hawfield’s Presbyterain Church where he also taught Sunday School and was a Boy Scout Leader. He loved Family, Hunting, Butterflies and crazy socks that made the old folks and kids smile.
Surviving, other than his wife of the home are a daughter, Angie Webb and husband, Alan of Mebane; a son, Clark Kernodle and wife Leslie of Graham; five grandchildren, Sydney Webb, Aiden Kernodle, Kiya Kernodle, Emmy Kernodle and Lana Kernodle; a brother, J. F. Kernodle, Jr. and wife Dawn of Greensboro; and a sister, Joy Stewart and husband Bill of Mt. Airy.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, November 3, at 3:00 PM at Hawfield’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Pastor David Ealy officiating.
The family will receive friends at Rich& Thompson FuneralHome inGraham on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM.
