The Fayette county grand jury has been called to convene Tuesday to investigate the deaths of Cyrus A. Elwood, former patrolman, and A. L. Chrisman, 62 years old, attorney and justice of the peace, who were injured fatally a few days ago when they were struck by a taxicab driven by Clarence Owens. Owens, who was held following the accident, has been released under $3,000 bond. Elwood died a few hours after being struck and Chrisman died last night without regaining consciousness. Chrisman is survived by the widow, a son, John Chrisman of Indianapolis; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Chrisman at home; a brother, Gen. Edward Chrisman of Moscow, Idaho, nnd three sisters, Mrs. Lora A. Henry of Connersville, Mrs. H. L. Stephens of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. Minnie Rush of Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be held at the home Monday.
