Chad Ray Hightower

October 8, 1971 ~ December 5, 2021 (age 50)

Chad Ray Hightower, 50 passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021.  He was born in Person County to the late Burley Ray Hightower and Kitty Madren who survives. 
Chad worked for Carolina Tank Lines, was a member of Union Ridge Church and was a former firefighter for Swepsonville and Pleasant Grove Fire Departments.  He loved fishing, coon hunting, riding motorcycles, organizing bike rallies and events, especially for those in need, and never met a stranger.  He grew up on a tobacco farm and loved farming and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Michelle Hightower; daughter, Cheyenne Grace Hightower; grandchildren, Chase-Aubrey Parker, Jaxyn Hightower; parents, Wayne and Kitty Madren; sister, Cheryl Rodrigues (Luis); nieces, Logan and Camryn; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and numerous friends.
The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at Union Ridge Church by Rev. Dan Ficklin with burial to follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Prospect Hill.  The family will receive friends from 10:45 – 12:45 Friday at the church fellowship hall prior to the service and other times at his parent’s residence.  
Memorials may be made to a trust account for Chad’s grandchildren at the State Employees Credit Union Global Account c/o Cheryl Rodrigues or to the Union Ridge Church Band Fund.
