Clifton Boyd Boswell, 88, of Burlington passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Alice Boswell, who survives and the son of Jesse Boswell and Nesbit Hanford Haney, both deceased. He was part owner of Hanford Brick Company. He was a member the N.C. State Wolfpack Club, a former member of Toastmasters, and a former member of Burlington Moose Lodge.
Boyd gave so much to so many seeking only the joy of supporting others on their journey. Boyd and Alice traveled far and wide cheering their beloved Wolfpack Women’s Basketball and the Rubiotts/Why Nots softball teams. Thanks to his Biscuitville breakfast buddies.
In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include two cousins, Jimmy Hanford and Patsy Hanford Moser. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jody Lynn Boswell Lassiter; grandson, Christopher Zane Lassiter; brother, William Rufus Boswell; and two sisters, Shirley Boswell White and Evelyn “Dimples” Bell.
A memorial service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. The family will greet friends following the service.
