Jack Neal Faucette

January 18, 1930 ~ December 11, 2021 (age 91)

Saturday morning, December 11, 2021 we had to say goodbye, for now, to the sweet, loving soul of a great man, Jack Neal Faucette, father, “Granddaddy”, friend, follower and servant of Jesus. The extra time we had with him over the past few weeks was such a gift. Even with his last struggling breaths he was asking about us, encouraging us and praying for us. He said, “don’t be sad.” Every day he found someone to love on, visit, care for and serve. …and now we are happy he is reunited with his sweetheart – Jean.
“Uniquely loved” as a resident of the Twin Lakes Community, and native of Alamance County, Mr. Faucette was born on January 18, 1930 to the late Walter F. Faucette and Fannie Cobb Faucette.
Jack was part of the graduating class of 1948 from Pleasant Grove High School and then went on to graduate from Burlington Business College.  He was an Army Veteran during the Korean War and was employed at Western Electric/AT&T for 36 years.  A devout sports enthusiast of softball, baseball, bowling, basketball, and golf – he coached youth ball teams and volunteered with the Crosby, GGO, U. S. Open and Vantage golf tournaments, working with celebrities from around the world. He devoted much of his life in service to others by giving generously of his time and energy, bringing cheer to residents of skilled nursing facilities and organizations such as Hospice of Alamance, PACE, Special Olympics, and was an original volunteer fire-fighter for Faucette Township Fire Department.
He was a lifetime member, deacon and elder of Hopedale Christian Church.
Preceded in death by his dedicated and loving wife of 58 years, Edith “Jean” Thompson Faucette; parents, Walter and Fannie Faucette; four sisters, Lou Eva Barts, Juanita Minor, Carleen Moser, and Gertrude Bowland; two brothers, Edwin Faucette and Clarence Faucette; and grandson Brian William Shell.  Mr. Faucette is survived by one son, Jack Neal Faucette Jr. and his wife Amy Doss Faucette; their two daughters -- Audra Faucette Potter (Carl), Jessi Faucette Sisk (Chris); and his two daughters, Sharon Laila Bennett and her son Justin Neal Bennett; and Deborah Jean Love and her children John Daniel Love (Kelly), Bonnie Jean Love and Robert Neill Shell, Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and one surviving sister, Peggy Faucette Oliver, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks and recognition to the staffs of Coble Creek Healthcare of Twin Lakes Community as well as Kernodle Clinic & Alamance Regional Medical Center for their provisions and wonderful care during Jack's extended illness and need for personal service.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 15 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham, N.C. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the same location with the Reverend Bob Cauthren officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington, NC.

The family remains thankful and in gratitude to those who have touched our lives.  If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers please consider Hopedale Christian Church – 909 Deep Creek Church Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
261, Jack Neal Faucette
