Mrs. Rachel Hawkins Dies at her Home at Burlington
Burlington, Sept 25 - Mrs. Rachel Jane Hawkins, 90, died at her home on Parke avenue her at 8:45 o'clock this morning. She had been ill three weeks.
Funeral service will be held from the home at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon in charge of Rev. W. A. Cade, assisted by Rev. W. K. McGee, interment will be made in Pinehill Cemetery/
Mrs. Hawkins was the widow of F. W. Hawkins. Both she and her husband were well known here and were pioneer residents of Alamance county. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Homer Clayton, of Durham; James F. Hawkins, of Mocksville, and Mrs. Ernest Curl and Miss Hattie Hawkins, of Burlington.
