Mickey Leonard Neese

Mickey Leonard Neese, 75, of Whitsett, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several weeks of illness.
He is a native of Guilford County and the husband of 55 years to Christine V. Womack Neese, who survives.
Mickey’s career of 36 years as a U. S. Postal worker started in the clerk craft and moved to Bulk Mail Distribution where he found his passion helping and meeting new friends while giving the Postal Service a reputation of good and friendly service.
Mickey was a 1965 graduate of Williams High School, followed by a tour of duty with the U. S. Army, 1966-1968.
Mickey was a beloved member and Deacon at Bible Baptist Church where he served faithfully and also helped with the Brunswick stews and most noted the Antique Car Cruise In. He always loved sharing his faith and love of cars with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Christine “Chris” Neese of the home; son, Mike Neese and wife Wendy; daughter, Teresa Clapp and husband Ron; three grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, and Mitchell; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ava. He is survived by two sisters, Rosa Norris and husband Jerry and Marlene Clemmons and husband Jim; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Leonard and Janie Foster Neese and brother, Frankie Neese.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 12:00 noon by Rev. Kevin Bunn with the family receiving friends from 10:45 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
