Lucille Payne Beatty, 87, of Graham died at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 4:55 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of James Leroy Bullard and Robert Lewis Beatty, both deceased and the daughter of George Washington Payne and Bertie Ann Payne, both deceased.
She retired from J. Spencer Love. Lucille was a member of Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church and the Telephone Pioneers. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Lawrence; grandson, Nathan Lawrence; and special friends, Curtis Truitt, Virginia Satterfield, Michael Shukis and Ray Allen, all of Alamance County.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Leroy Bullard.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon by Pastor Jimmy Wooten with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 4683 Cedar Cliff Road, Graham, NC 27253.
