Thomas Leo Boone
ELON - Leo Boone, 71, of 2367 Underwood Rd., Elon, NC went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Grand Strand Medical Center Myrtle Beach, SC.
A native of Caswell County, NC, he was a son of the late Carl A. and Eula Underwood Boone and had lived his entire life in the Cherry Grove Community of Caswell County. A retired employee of Burlington Industries, He was a member of Camp Springs United Methodist Church, where he served on the cemetery committee, the building committee, and was a member of the United Methodist Men.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Patterson Boone of the home; sons, Darryl Boone and wife Peggy and Mark Boone and wife Stephanie all of Elon; sisters, Carlene B. Smith of Burlington, Doris B. Wrenn of Elon, Virginia B. Herbin and husband Alvin of Gibsonville, and Angilea B. Satterfield and husbandHenry of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Megan Blakley (Hunter), Justin Boone (Whitney), Jarek Boone, Ashleigh Boone, Tyler Boone, Wesley Overman, and Justin Overman, great- grandchildren, Gracelee Boone, Brantley Boone, and Emma Blakley.
Leo was preceded in death by a brother: Howard Boone.
The family will see friends 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Citty Funeral Home Reidsville, NC and at other times will be at the residence.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Camp Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
