Wayne Hicks, 60, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

A graveside service will be held at Reidlawn Cemetery on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Pastor Junior Kennon officiating.

Wayne was born in Rockingham County to Roy Hicks and Nancy Gwynn Eastwood. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and Carolina Basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with family, playing horseshoes and traveling to the beach. He loved his fur baby “Lu Lu” Lucy Hicks but most of all he loved his wife and family.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 39 years, Debbie W Hicks; children, Shannon Shown (Larry), Penny Dickens (Jason), Kennon McMillon Jr. (Amanda), John McMillon (Callie); grandchildren, Ashley, Hunter, Savannah, Deven, and Marcus McMillon; great grandchild, Autumn McMillon; parents, Roy Hicks and Nancy Eastwood; sister, Kimberly Moore (Derrick); nephews, Josh Hicks and Shane Willard as well as a large and loving group of extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital at 501St Jude Place Memphis, TN, 38105
