Silas Clifton Michael, 88, of McLeansville went to his Heavenly home on January 19, 2024, at his residence. A native of Guilford County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Eddie and Mamie (Wray) Michael.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
He served three years in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He retired from the Greensboro Coliseum, known as the Zamboni Man. He was a volunteer and on the Board of Directors of McLeansville Fire Department, a member of the Lion's Club and on the Board of Directors. Cliff served as an Honorary Deacon, Treasurer, and an Usher for Straightway Baptist Church. He also owned and operated Cliff's Lawn Service. His favorite past time was enjoying local short track racing, NASCAR racing and watching the Washington Redskins.
Left to cherish precious memories: his wife of 66years, Dorothy Michael; three daughters, Brenda Michael, Darlene Bledsole (Jimmy), Sandra Laster (Bud); seven grandchildren, Brad, Brandon, Trey, Chad, Christian, Jessica, Magen; 14 great grandchildren, a sister Dorothy Rock and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Services, Lambeth Chapel on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 12 to 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Services, Lambeth Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Bledsole and Pastor Steve Fowler, officiating. Interment will be at Hines Chapel Cemetery, McLeansville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Straightway Baptist Church, Elon, NC or Authoracare Collective Hospice of Burlington.
