HAWRIVER - Jennifer Sue Ray Pickard, 75, of Haw River passed away at her home surrounded by familyWednesday, May 18, 2022.
Jennifer, “Sue” or “Mama Sue” as many knew her was amember of the Riverdale Baptist Church in Haw River. She was a home maker, worked in home healthcare, but was most known for looking after many children in her home over the years and worked at St Johns New Mission Daycare for several years. She was loving, caring, a help mate to her husband, but most importantly was a Godly Christian woman.
A visitation will be held from7:00pm – 9:00PM on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Calvary Baptist Church (230 Williamson Street Burlington). A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 also at Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Gurney Lee Pickard Jr.,; Daughters, Elizabeth Grimes, Jennifer L Pickard, (fiancé BobbyHunter Jr) Sons, Boyd (wife Tracy) Pickard, Marc (wife Lori) Pickard,; grandchildren, Keith, Wesley, Bradley, Nick, Cole, Amanda, Heather, Jonathan, Madison, Tiffani, Alyson, Spencer; eleven great-grandchildren; six sisters, one brother, and a host of extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Ray; granddaughter, Sherry Teer; and 2 nieces and 3 nephew and great nephew.
