Mrs. Emily Cable May, commonly known as ',granny" May, died in her home near Elmira June 1st, 1910, aged about 75 years and was buried in Frieden's Lutheran church in Guilford county, the funeral being conducted in the home of Rev. J. D. Andrew. The deceased was a sister of our townsmen, James and Wesley Cable. Her husband died during the Civil War.
