Funeral services for A.J. (Hickory) Thomas, 86, a resident of the Terrill community for 74 years, who died Nov. 17, were held Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Maples Funeral Home at Clever, followed by burial in the Manly cemetery under direction of Wilburn Maples. A native of Tennessee, Mr. Thomas moved to the Terrill community when he was 12 years old. He was married to Lucy Griffith who preceded him in death in 1904. To this union were born one daughter having preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons, Clayborn Thomas of Clever, Sam Thomas of California, and a daughter, Mrs. Joe Kerr of Clever.
