Obituary Online notes for Judith Ann DITTENMORE
Judith A. “Jean” Dittemore, 72, of Elyria, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at EMH Regional Medical Center. She was born December 26, 1938 in Akron, to the late Colvin and Sarah Dittemore.
Jean attended special classes for four years in Akron and was then tutored at home by her loving mother. She lived at Apple Creek Developmental Center and The Cleveland Developmental Center before moving to Sensi-Care in Elyria, where she resided until her death.
Jean formerly was employed at Murray Ridge Center for many years, before transferring to Creative Learning Workshop, where she made crafts and established many friendships. Jean loved people, to whom she was always courteous and polite and called everyone “dear” to show her affection for them. She enjoyed drinking Diet Pepsi, riding her adult tricycle all over Elyria, but most of all she loved to eat at Burger King.
Jean is survived by her brother, Ronald of Barberton; and her Sensi-Care family, with whom she resided for 28 years.
A memorial service will be Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11 A.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. 470, Judith “Jean” Dittemore
