Gladys Frances Martin Story McCall
Gladys Frances Martin was born Feb. 15, 1920, the daughter of Abe and Daisy (Weaver) Martin. She passed away Dec. 3, 2009, at her daughter's (Aleda) home in Kansas City, Mo., at the Age of 89 years, 9 months and 3 weeks. Gladys was united in marriage to Frank Edward Story on March 22, 1936, and to this union, six children were born – Aleda, Kenneth, Jimmie, Emma and Esther and one son who died at infancy. After Frank's death in 1969, she later married Lloyd McCall in 1972. He passed away in 1975. Gladys is survived by her two sons, Kenneth and Wanda Story of Birch Tree, Mo., and Jim and Sharon Story of Centralia, Wash.; three daughters, Aleda and Lawrence Fisher of Kansas City, Mo., Esther and Guy Howard of Blue Springs, Mo., and Emma and Lyle Waller of Montrose, Colo.; one sister, Helen Maxwell of Illinois; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Gladys was a faithful member of the Church of God of Prophecy for many years, where she touched many lives with her service and teaching. After her husband's death, she moved to County Line near Birch Tree where she attended the County Line Church. She was always a blessing with her singing. Her hobbies were embroidery and crochet work, feeding squirrels and birds and gardening. She loved putting puzzles together and playing board games with her children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at the County Line Pentecostal Church in Birch Tree, Mo., with Brother George Nagels and Brother Forrest Goodman officiating. Interment was in Montier Cemetery in Montier, Mo., under the direction of Duncan Funeral Homes, LLC of Birch Tree, Mo. 470, Gladys Frances Martin Story
