87 Summerfield - Mr. Raymond W. Newman, 87, of Summerfield, FL died Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at the Tuscany Hospice House. Ray was born in Richland, IN and he moved to Florida in 1980. He was a WW II Army veteran and a member of the Belleview Christian Church. He was a handyman to all his friends whenever he could help them. He was preceded in death by a son Ronnie Newman. He is survived by his wife Lucy Pratt Newman of Summerfield, FL, 7 daughters, Phyllis Schoby of Wabash, IN, Shirley Pearson of New Haven, IN, Marilyn Daniels of Wabash, IN, Janet Ulrey of Wabash, IN, Viola Lane of Wabash, IN, Margaret Grimm of Wabash, IN, Joanne Karr of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jeannie Gaze of IN, Cathy Berger of IN, son Dale Newman of England, 2 brothers, Wilbur Newman and Leroy Newman both of Wabash, IN, sister Donna Copeland of Wabash, IN, 24 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren and many friends. Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007 at the Belleview Christian Church (7149 SE County Hwy 25A) at 11:00 a.m. Friends may call on the family at the church prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Services will be conducted by Pastor Rick Phillips. Burial will follow after the services at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice in memory of Ray.
