Robert G. Oswalt, 65, died Sunday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 23, at the Abilene Funeral Home Chapel of Hope, 3349 N. 12th St., with Norman Archibald officiating. The body will be cremated.
Mr. Oswalt was born in Wabash, Ind. He served in the U.S. Navy for 22 years and was awarded Sailor of the Year in 1974-75 by the Columbia League Council. He was a warehouse supervisor for Hendrick Medical Center until retiring. He was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, U.S.S. Gunston Hall Reunion Association and a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie C. Oswalt of Abilene; one son, Robert Ray Oswalt of Omro, Wisc.; one brother, Larry Oswalt of Huntington, Ind.; two sisters, Linda Poe of Andrews Ind. And Nancy Spath of Roanoke, Ind. 470, Robert Gene Oswalt
