William D. "Bill" Blowers age 78, 305 East Walnut Street Portland passed away Friday evening at his residence. He was born in Adams County January 29, 1935 the son of Derald "Red" and Edna (Alexander) Blowers. He was married January 28, 1995 to Linda Sue Theurer who passed away March 28, 2001.
He had worked at Indiana Glass, Teledyne Portland Forge and Portland Country Club. He was a member of Portland Moose Lodge, American Legion, Portland Rockets Baseball Team, South Adams Lancers Baseball Team and an avid golfer.
Surviving are two sons William L. Blowers of Elkhart and Steven D. Blowers (wife Sherry) of Bryant, One daughter Cheryl Dade of Phoenix, Az., Two step-sons Stacey Pyle of Portland and Charles Golder of Redkey, One step-daughter Dawn Golder of Geneva One grandson and one great granddaughter
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Darrel Borders presiding. Burial will follow in the West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the Youth Service Bureau. 470, William D. Blowers
