MUNCIE--Vaneta Conn, 88, resident of The Woodlands Nursing Home, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at the nursing home.
Mrs. Conn was born in Portland. She worked for Kmart stores as a greeter and stock person. She retired in 2001. She formerly worked with Marsh grocery, where she worked at the first Marsh store in Muncie, and also worked for Motor Wheel of LaGrange, Ind.
She was a member of Northview Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are a son, Phillip L. Conn (wife: Penny); five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence LeRoy Conn, and a sister, Elvie Koop.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Calling will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. [46444]

ALBANY--Clarence L. Conn, 69, 621 N. Water St., died Wednesday in Ball Hospital where he had been a patient since Monday. He had been in failing health for several years. He was the son of Frank and Dora (Louden) Conn.
Mr. Conn was a native of Muncie and an 11-year employee of Chevrolet-Muncie. Prior to his retirement he was an employee of Litton Products, Kendallville. He and his family returned to Delaware County in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Vaneta; one son, Phillip Conn, Muncie; two brothers, Paul Conn, Muncie, and Clifford Conn, Fort Wayne; one sister, Mrs. Helen Quirk, Muncie; five grandchilren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Parson Mortuary Chapel in Muncie. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary form 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today or prior to services Saturday. [46446]
