OXFORD, Fla. — Charles E. Parks, 84, Oxford, Fla., died Nov. 4, 2014, in The Villages, Fla.
Charles was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Anderson, Ind., one of 11 children born to James and Elsie (Whitsel) Parks.
He worked for General Motors for more than 35 years, retiring to The Villages, Fla., in the early 2000s.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Parks, and daughter, Debra (Richard) Hile, all of Anderson; two granddaughters, Jesse Looper of Houston, Texas, and Melissa Weaver of Thorntown, Ind.; three great-grandchildren, Grant and Emily Looper of Terre Haute and Lillianna Porter of Thorntown; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Douglas, five brothers and sisters.
Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. at Bethany Christian Church, Anderson, with memorial services at 2:30 p.m. 470, Charles Edward Parks
