Obituary Online notes for Steven Douglas BIXLER
MUNCIE, Ind. — Steven Douglas Bixler, 61, resident of Muncie, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening, Jan. 13, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.

He was born Aug. 5, 1949, in Anderson, the son of Billy and Martha (Helsley) Bixler.

Steven was a 1967 graduate of Middletown High School, and received an Associate Degree from South Florida University.

He was an avid fan of basketball at Ball State, both women's and men's, and of BSU football.

He was a member of the Cardinal Varsity Club. He enjoyed woodworking.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He had been employed by Arrowhead Plastics since 1992.

Survivors are his wife, Vicki (Williams) Bixler of Muncie; stepmother, Juanita Bixler of Tulsa, Okla., brother, David Bixler of Tulsa, Okla; mother and father-in-law, Maxine and Gene Williams of Middletown; sister-in-law, Candy Ward (Bill) of Middletown; brothers-in-law, Mike and Roger Williams, both of Muncie; several nieces and nephews; and special buddy, Elijah.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 S. Fifth St., Middletown, officiated by the Rev. Marty Ballard. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown.
