Willard Glenn Moore

Gibsonville – Willard Glenn Moore, 95, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at ARMC surrounded by his family. 

He was born in Burlington on December 29, 1926 to the late Charles Fletcher Moore and Mattie Thompson Moore and was married to the late Betty McLean Moore for 52 years. 

He was a US Navy veteran having served during WWII.  After his service, he attended Elon University and graduated from NC State University.  He retired from Kayser Roth as a Cost Accountant after 33 years.  Willard was a long-time member of Friedens Lutheran Church, where he served as Treasurer, church council and Sunday School teacher.  Willard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  His kind gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son; Ed Moore (Darlene), daughter; Laurel Moore Bradley (Richard), granddaughters; Whitney Moore Gomes (Corey), Miranda Bradley Lim (Steven), Samantha Bradley Metivier (Chris) and Shelley Bradley Miller (Alex) as well as his great grandchildren; Field McLean Gomes, Violet Cline Gomes and Astoria Meilan Lim.  He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers; Dr. Fletcher Moore and Dr. Wayne Moore.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Frieden’s Lutheran Church Cemetery  by Pastor Louise Hilbert.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service. 

Mr. Moore will be available for public viewing from 1:00 – 5:00 PM on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Friedens Lutheran Church (Endowment Fund), 6001 NC Highway 61 N, Gibsonville, NC 27249. 256, Willard Glenn Moore
