GREENSBORO- Mrs. Lorene B. Shinn, 84, passed peacefully Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Vanstory Chapel. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Shinn was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed growing flowers, watching hummingbirds, putting together puzzles and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Webber Shinn, their son, Tony Russell Shinn and a brother, Howard Bostian.
Mrs. Shinn is survived by her daughter, Pam Allen and husband, David of Liberty; grandchildren, Tonya S. Waugh and husband Rod of Climax, Toni S. Smith of High Point, Lauren R. Allen of Liberty, great-grandchildren, Kennedy N. Waugh of Climax, Abigail M. Smith of High Point; sisters, Mable Sloop of Mt. Ulla, Margaret Martin of Mooresville, Willaree Tharp of Virginia Beach, Va., Shelby Jean Marlowe of Mooresville, brothers, Curtis Bostian of Mocksville, Harold Bostian of New Johnstown, Tenn., and Barry Bostian of Mt. Ulla.
