UNION CITY, IN - Madonna M. Welch, 88, passed away Thursday November 3rd, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 30th, 1928 in Mercer County, Ohio to the late Harry and Margaret Severt Romer.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Rosary Society, belonged to the Bi-State Steppers, and loved to make holidays special for her family.

Survivors include her children, Tim (Sue) Welch of Selma, Ind., Randy (Becky) Welch of Winchester, Ind., Jeff Welch of U.C., Ind., Sherry (Rusty) Edwards of U.C., Ohio; grandchildren, Jason (Roxy) Welch, Justin (Carrie) Welch, Rhett Welch, Elijah (Jackie) Welch, Caleb Welch, Josh Welch, Matt (Jamie) Welch, Ryan Edwards, Cassie (Adam) Cothran and Kelsie Edwards; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Ann Hoening of Coldwater, Ohio, Kay (Jerry) Dippold of St. Henry, Ohio; nieces and nephews also.

Madonna was preceded by her parents, husband, Eldon ‘Dink’ Welch in 2014, 2 sons, Mark and James Welch, 2 brothers, Bud Romer and Harry “Lefty” Romer; 4 sisters, Verna Buschor, Myra Delzeith, Julia Stahl and Vivian Romer.

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday November 6th, 2016 at the Reichard Funeral Home Inc. with a Rosary Service at 3:30 p.m. Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Monday November 7th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Christopher Roberts officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to State of the Heart Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.
