Coy "C.W." Greeson
Coy “C.W.” Greeson, 89, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 27, 1933 in Guilford County to the late Flavious McCoy “Coy” Greeson and Eliza Jane Brown Greeson, and was the husband of 59 years to the late Annie “Ann” Morris Greeson who died in 2018.
After working twenty years for the NC Department of Transportation, C.W. became a tobacco farmer helping his father on their family farm. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, a US Army veteran, he enjoyed farming, gardening and going to the Greensboro Grass Hoppers baseball games.
C.W. is survived by his son, Morris “Mo” Greeson and wife Karen; a daughter, Janet Denney and husband Phil; grandchildren, Becca Wilson and husband Hunter, Lauren Greeson, Evan Denney, Jack Denney; great granddaughter, Nora Elaine Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
C.W. was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a daughter Elizabeth Greeson, and sisters, Viola Sowers and Blanche Ring.
The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Paul Rhodes with the private burial to follow at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45AM Saturday prior to the service.
