ASKINS, Lois M. age 85 of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Sycamore Glen Health Center. She was born on May 13, 1928 in Monroe, Ohio to the late Robert R. and Irma (Stratton) Jones.
Also preceding her in death is her sister, Vivian Bussard; brothers, Ralph Jones, Linn Jones, and Virgil Jones. Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert T. Askins; children, Jim (Debi) McLaughlin, Tom (Tammy) Askins, Renee (Rick) Swensen, Karen (Bob) Barker; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Gladys) Jones; sisters-in-law, Mitzi Jones and Linette Jones; brother-in-law, Gene Bussard and many other extended family and friends. Lois retired from the VA Medical Center after 20 years of service.
Friends and family may visit at Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg. Funeral Service at the funeral home, with Pastor Richard Luh officiating. Interment following at Ellerton Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Germantown or the Sycamore Glen Health Center, in memory of Lois.
