Obituary Online notes for Charles Fred SIEVERS
GREENSBORO
Charles Fred Sievers was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 10, 1940 and spent time during his formative years helping to raise horses and dogs.
It was here that Fred formed a life-long affection for animals and developed a firm but generous nature that would later make him an excellent businessman and father.
Fred simultaneously attended flight school and the University of Miami. After a time flying charter, Fred joined E.N. Beard Lumber Company initially as a pilot for Mr. Beard. He ended his career as president of the company, retiring in 1996.
Fred was a loving and attentive father to his daughter Kendyll and son Brent and later to his step-children Scott and Stacie. He supported their interests and goals throughout his life. Once, when Brent needed wood for a school shop project, Fred arrived with a delivery of kiln-dried hardwood lumber.
Fred Sievers died early Tuesday morning, over 19 years after the onset of heart failure.
The family thanks the efforts of the medical professionals who helped him live a long and comfortable life, especially Dr. Mark Perini of Guilford Medical Associates and Dr. Kirk Adams of UNC Hospitals.
They would also like to thank the staff at Clapps Nursing Center for their care in the last months.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents Carl "Cotton" and Marian, daughter Kendyll and sister Connie . 470, Charles Fred Sievers
