Obituary Online notes for Kendell K. KIRKNER
Kendell K. Kirkner, 72, of 1057 Macgill Street, Pulaski, died Thursday night in the Roanoke Memorial Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 16, 1918 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Robert E. Kirkner and Jennie Woodyard Kirkner.
He was a retired employee of Hercules Inc. of Radford.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II.
He was a member of the Pulaski Masonic Lodge and a member and deacon of Memorial Baptist Church, Pulaski.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Quesenberry Kirkner; and a grandson, Ricky S. Clark.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Shelburn (Katherine) Clark of Dublin and Mrs. Barry (C. Janet) Cox of Pulaski; one son, Stephen K. Kirkner of Edgewater, Md.; two sisters, Ellen Thompson and Mrs. Arnett (Nina) Howard, both of Pulaski; one brother, William Bosang of Vero Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Kendell Harris Clark, Angela Carol Clark, Michael Barry Cox, Caroline Michell Cox, Jon M. Cox, Christian Aubuchon and Cathryn Aubuchon.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. today from Memorial Baptist Church, Pulaski, with the Rev. Patrick L. Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke or Memorial Baptist Church in Pulaski. Stevens Funeral Home Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
