Jerry Dean Brown, 76, of Liberty passed away at his residence.
A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Joshua Hugh Brown and the late Nettie Belle Bowman Brown.
He served in the North Carolina National Guard, retired from selling vacuums for Electrolux and was the former owner and operator of Jerry Brown Carpet Cleaning Company.
He enjoyed fishing, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are his brother Lauren Brown and his wife Catherine. His daughter Cindy Deese and husband Darren, his daughter Sherri James and husband Archie, and his son Robert Brown; and his grandchildren Tony Tucker, Kelly Bennett and husband Jason, Kaysie James, Jesse James, and Joshua Brown; and great- grandchildren Alexis Bennett, Elizabeth Citty, Colton Bennett, and Olivia Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington.
