- Mrs. Lucille Boone Lewis was born March 2, 1906 to Mary Clary and Jay Hoyt Boone in Greensboro.
She graduated from WC, now UNC-G in 1928 after which she taught elementary school in Greensboro.
She married Charles Raven Lewis and moved to Faison.
Mrs. Lewis died Nov. 29, 1998 in Rocky Mount.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice Ray Niece, son-in-law, Gerry Niece; grandchildren, Anna Grace of the home and Daniel Lewis who attends UNC-G.
Funeral arrangements are by Crumpler-Honeycutt of Clinton. Service will be at the United Methodist Church in Faison on Tues. at 1 p.m.
with visitation following the funeral at the home of Bill and Ann Lewis of Faison.
