84 Years Old
Louise Teague Wilson, 84, of Snow Camp passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on January 31st, 2023 at Alamance Regional Medical Center, North Carolina.
She was married to the late, James E. Wilson of Snow Camp, NC, and daughter of Rev. York Teague and Alice Mae Teague.
She was a member of the Cane Creek Friends Meeting, a foster parent, and talented organist at Cane Creek Friends Meetings and Bethel UMC. Amongst her many talents as owner and operator of Little Beauty Shop and MawMaw Bakery, she was also a graduate of the UNC Dental Assistant Program and Radiological Technology Program at UNC hospital.
Louise was the secretary and bookkeeper of Snow Camp Historical Drama Society. She devoted her life to the theater and nightly over the summers, she would be found at the box office window of the theatre. Every Sunday, her desserts were being enjoyed by diners at Ye Old Country Kitchen. She retired from UNC Hospital in Siler City.
Louise was a luminous individual with a strong, authentic character that endured difficult times doing whatever it took to honor her commitments to her family and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and Friend. Her love and nurture empowered us to live whole, meaningful lives filled with joy and creativity. She truly had the valuable seasonings to illuminate the spice of life from within.
Louise was preceded in passing by her loving son, Bryan Wilson, her husband James Wilson, brother’s Dwight Teague, Larry Teague, Franklin Teague and Marion Teague, and her sister Virginia Teague Kimball.
Louise is survived by her son Jon Wilson of Lexington, daughter in law Melodee Baker Wilson of Burlington, her eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two sisters, Laura Ann Thompson of Snow Camp and Martha Leona Rogers of Liberty and one brother, Carlyle Teague of Raleigh.
Rest peacefully with the beauty of stillness and love, Maw Maw.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Cane Creek Friends Meeting in Snow Camp.
