Obituary Online notes for Mae Lee INGOLD
Mrs. Mae Lee Ingold Andrews, 96, went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 2, 2009.

She was the wife of the late Homer F. Andrews and was a lifelong resident of Guilford County.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Carol (Max) Elmore; grandson Tim (Lisa) Elmore; great grandson, Austin Lee Elmore; sister, Ora Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer F. Andrews; parents, B.R. and Martha Barber Ingold; grandson Mark Elmore; sister, Sallie Ingold Allen; and brothers, Earlie Ingold and Vester Ingold.

She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and special friend Jim Swaney , who lived with her and help with farming.

She was an outdoors person and never remembered owning a doll as a child. Her life of farming began at age 5, driving the tractor to help her parents during her father's illness and death. She and her husband farmed for many years. She retired from Guilford County School System with 30 years as cafeteria manager of Busick and Monticello Schools.
Mrs. Andrews was a loyal and faithful member of Apple's Chapel Christian Church, a former choir member and Sunday School Teacher. She loved gardening and cooking and was known for her fried apple pies and chicken pies. She was a lifelong member of Busick Home Demonstration Club, The Sunshine Club and Keenagers Club.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at Apple's Chapel Christian Church by Rev. C. Allen Myers III, Rev. Tim Geiger, and Rev. Don Ledbetter. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
