John Howard Sanders, 91, of Bristol, died Saturday, November 1, 2003, at Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tenn.
He was born January 4, 1912, at Piney Creek, N.C., to John Wilson and Delter Evans Sanders.
Survivors are his wife Donna Boone Sanders of Bristol; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne S. and William E. (Bill) Peck of Bristol; one brother, Fielden Sanders of Marion; one sister, Marie Hayes of Havre De Grace, Md.; two grandchildren, Lynn Sloan of Greenwood, S.C. and Tim Peck of Knoxville, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Daniel Sloan and Caitlin Sloan.
At the request of Mr. Sanders, his body was cremated.
Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence was in charge of arrangements.
