Kathleen Boone Van Hoy, 76, of King George County went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 7, 2012.

She was part-owner of Van's Construction. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and spiritual motivator. She was also a member of Gold's Gym, where she enjoyed working out.

She is survived by her husband, D.W. "Van"; two sons, John Van Hoy of Fredericksburg and Billy Van Hoy and wife Tami of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Donna Lewis and husband Livingston of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Helen Boone of Ashville, N.C.; brother Bill Boone of Lexington; three grandchildren, Tori, Kyle and Shane; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Boone.

The family will receive friends at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the funeral home, with Lynn Fees officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
