Following an extended illness, Buddy Charles Gerringer, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 11, 2022.
A memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Gate City Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am at the church prior to the service.
Buddy was born on January 27, 1936 in Alamance County to the late Boyd and Beatrice Williams Gerringer.
He worked at Sears Mail Order for thirty-six years. After retiring, he did volunteer work and enjoyed golf including running Bud’s Custom Golf from his home. Buddy was also a member of Gate City Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Buddy is preceded in death by a son, Timothy Charles Gerringer along with his brother, Bobby Gerringer and sisters, Betty Gerringer and Brenda Bailey.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-four years, Mary Roberts “Sue” Gerringer; son, Phillip Todd Gerringer of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Danielle Gerringer and Jonathan Gerringer (Melanie); and three great grandchildren, Adely, Roman, and Coralee.
