HENRY NELSON
Henry Joe Nelson, 63, of 2508 Lamar Drive, died unexpectedly Friday in Seguin.
A resident of Victoria for 16 years, Mr. Nelson was a leadsman for Shell Oil Co. A former resident of Edna, he was born April 14, 1913, in Columbus, to the late Anton and Agnes Hubenak Nelson. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church of Victoria and Masonic Lodge No. 767 in Edna.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jack Franklin, pastor of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, officiating. Masonic graveside services will be held under the auspices of Masonic Lodge No. 40 AF&AM at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Redin Burt, M. R. Kirkpatrick, D. K. Knight, V. E. Meliza, Loyd Perkins and A. S. Reiser.
Named as honorary pallbearers are Weyman Balksek, Jim Bunt, George Delaney, A. S. Didner, Robert Kloppenburg, Oliver Williams and A. D. Tinker.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Leola Nelson of Victoria; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Arnold of Corpus Christi; three sons, Wayne and Gary Hall and Bobby Hollub of Seguin; a brother, John G. Nelson of Columbus and two grandchildren, Colt Justin and Hunter O'Neal Arnold.
