Daughter of Annie Reedy and Edgar Stone. She married Lacy Carroll in 1931 and they had four daughters.
Her obituary in the Greensboro Record, March 6, 1959, provides that she had been in declining health for several months before hospitalization and death.
Surviving were her husband; four daughters, Misses Annie, Loretta and Elizabeth Carroll, all of the home , and Mrs. Wilbur Laughlin of Greensboro; two sisters, Mrs. Reatha Bumgarner of Greensboro, Mrs. Rachel Engle of East Moline, Ill.; and three grandchildren 470, Arietta Jane Stone Carroll
