Burton Fields Osborne, age 74 of 150 Burton Lane, Piney Creek, NC died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.
He was born May 12, 1938 in Alleghany County to the late Herbert and Fannie Delp Osborne.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Kay Osborne; one sister, Darlene Walls; one brother, James Osborne.
He is survived by his wife, Reba K. Osborne of the home; two sons, Phillip Osborne and wife Debbie of Piney Creek, Randy Osborne and wife Denise of Sparta; one daughter, Rebecca Osborne of Piney Creek; two grandchildren, Adam Osborne and Ethan Osborne; one sister, Joyce Dixon and husband Jim of Piney Creek; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Grandview Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Jones and Rev. Roy Houser officiating.
Burial will follow in the Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Sparta, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Piney Creek Fire Department, c/o Alan Souther, 567 Garvey Road, Piney Creek, NC 28663.
