Philip Eugene Greene, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Hospice Home.
He was born in Moore County and was the son of the late Godfrey W. and La-Rue Kellis Greene and was married for 37 years to Virginia Barber Greene who survives.
Philip was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and he retired from Westpoint Stevens.
He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed racing and golf. He was a loving and devoted husband, step father, grandfather and great grandfather who truly enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Virginia Barber Greene; sons, Ronald Eugene Saul and his wife Dawnn, Randall “Randy” Earl Saul and his wife Ann; grandchildren, Brandon, Randall, Sheridan and Deanna Saul, Elainie Clark and her husband Chris; great grandchildren, Graysen, Colton, Hunter, Sadie and Amillie; sister-in-law, Julie Greene and nephew, Kenneth Lee Greene, Jr. and his wife Amy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Lee Greene.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:45 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory prior to the service and at other times at the home.
