Louise Whittemore Vuncannon, 86, of Gibsonville passed away at AuthoraCare Hospice Home on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Jerry C. Vuncannon and the daughter of Floyd Whittemore and Martha Huffines Whittemore, both deceased.
She was a secretary for Carolina Biological and later worked at Huey’s Catering. Louise grew up on a farm and loved animals especially cats. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Vuncannon Teaff and husband Donald of Greensboro and Gloria Vuncannon of Gibsonville.
The family will have a visitation only at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Collective Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to sparklecatrescue.org. Condolences may be offered at www.richandthompson.com.
