Ernest Peter Luksan was born on April 16, 1900 to John and Lizzie Luksan of Elkhorn, Iowa.
He served as a private in the army at Camp Pike in Pulaski, Arkansas in 1920, and married Blanche Eleanor Lyle somewhere around 1922. To this union a daughter, Lynette Evelyn Luksan was born. After divorcing, the couple remarried on May 25, 1934, in Sioux City, Iowa, only to divorce again in 1937.
He died at the age of 50 from tuberculosis on October 21, 1950, after spending two years battling the disease at Olive View Sanitarium in Sylmar, California. 470
