Boone, Robert George “Bob,” 67, vice president of manufacturing for Welmark Oil & Natural Gas, died July 18. Memorial services 2 p.m. Wednesday, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church (Walker-Brown, Bartlesville).

Robert G. "Bob" Boone passed from this earth into Heaven with his wife Judi on July 18, 2015. Bob was born in West Point, NY on August 17, 1947. Bob was a commissioned officer in the U.S.M.C. He and Judi were married on January 26, 1980. He retired from Wellmark in Oklahoma City.

Survived by daughter Leslie Hughes [Chris] of Shreveport, LA, stepsons George Lindsey, Bradenton, FL, Robert Lindsey [Susan], Tulsa and D.W. Lindsey of Owasso. His parents are Dr. and Mrs. Reece and Ruth Boone of Tulsa. Brothers Richard Boone [Connie] of Tulsa, Tom Boone [Jeannie] of Broken Arrow, John Boone [Mimi] of Oklahoma City, and sister Jane Pelley [Scott] of New York. He also leaves behind eight wonderful grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 2 pm, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Road in OKC, OK. Contributions to the church in their memory may be made in lieu of flowers. (Walker-Brown Funeral Home, Bartlesville, Oklahoma)

BRISTOW - I-44 near Bristow in Creek County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called out to a scene at 9:55 a.m. on Sunday July 18, 2015. 67 year old Robert G. Boone and 74 year old Judith C. Boone of Oklahoma City, were driving eastbound on I-44 when they blew a tire. It caused Robert to lose control of the vehicle. He drove to the right, through a fence before hitting two trees and eventually rolling the car. It ended up on its roof.
