February 11, 1934 - April 8, 2023
Doris Odham Ellis, 89, of Bluefield, WV passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023.
Born February 11, 1934, in Pocahontas, VA, she was a daughter of the late John and Oma Jeffery Odham.
Doris was a graduate of Pocahontas High School class of 1951 and a retired cook for Mercer County Schools.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Billy George Ellis and grandson, Cody Ray Ellis.
Those left to cherish Doris’ memory are her sons, Dennis K. Ellis and wife Sheba of Bluefield, WV and Billy Ray Ellis and wife Sabrina of Winston-Salem, NC; daughter, Deborah Agee and husband Robert of Bluefield, WV; sister, Fern Thompson of Kissimee, FL; 3 grandchildren, Christina Hamm and husband Justin, Brittney Woolwine and husband Eddie, and Catelin Ellis; and 3 great grandchildren, Aaliyah Ellis, Alivia Hamm and Alena Hamm.
Graveside rites will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Speaker Norma Hodges officiating.
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Ellis family.

Born February 11, 1934, in Pocahontas, VA, she was a daughter of the late John and Oma Jeffery Odham.

Billy George Ellis, 90, of Nemours Valley Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 01, 2018 at his residence.
Billy was born on February 22, 1927 in Freeman, West Virginia to the late Michael and Carrie Spivey Ellis.
He had been a resident of Nemours for the past twenty years and was retired from N&S Railroad as a Lead Welder with forty three years’ service.
Billy served his county proudly with the US Army, during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion and had attended Bramwell High School.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two Sisters Namree Jennings and Virginia Hill as well as one brother Richard Ellis and the greatest loss of his life his grandson Cody Ray Ellis.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years and 3 months Doris Odham Ellis of the home. Two sons Dennis K. Ellis and wife Sheba of Bluefield, West Virginia and Billy R. Ellis and wife Sabrina of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. One daughter Deborah “Dee” Agee and husband Robert of Bluefield, West Virginia.
He is also survived by three grandchildren Christina Ellis Hamm and husband Justin of Bluefield, West Virginia, Brittney Ellis of Bluefield, West Virginia and Catelin Ellis of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Two great grandchildren Aaliyah Ellis and Alivia Hamm.
Graveside rites will be held on Saturday, February 03, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Virginia with Rev. William Davis officiating burial will follow the service.
Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, Virginia by 1:45 p.m. [50176]
