Winston-Salem - Cody Ray Ellis, 24, passed Sunday, April 9, 2017. Cody was born in Forsyth County on August 25, 1992 to Billy Ray and Sabrina Miller Ellis.
He loved raced cars and was employed by Hedgecock Racing.
Cody is survived by his parents, Billy and Sabrina; a sister, Catelin Ellis; a half-brother, Brandon Lively; his loving maternal and paternal grandparents; and many special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
