Shirley D. Odham, 85, of Pocahontas, VA passed away Saturday May 16, 2020 in Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV.
Born in Pocahontas, VA she was the daughter of the late John and Oma Jeffery Odham.
She was a 1953 graduate of Pocahontas High School and enjoyed attending the reunions. Shirley was a veteran of the United States Navy and later worked as a nurse. Her hobbies included community activities and being with family and friends. She was an animal lover and adored her two cats Chloe and Charlie. Shirley was also a member of the America Legion Post #14 of Pocahontas, VA and a member of the Park and Peeled Chestnut Committees.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by siblings John "Bud" Odham and Brenda Perdue.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children Lori Salyer (Scottie) of North Tazewell, VA and Randall Strother of Carlisle, KY; siblings Doris Ellis of Nemours, WV, Carroll Davis of Nemours, WV and Fern Thompson of Kissimee, Florida; grandchildren Jeremy Salyer (Amanda) of Bluefield, VA, Travis Salyer and girlfriend Jill Hannagan of Pittsburgh, PA, Randi Stother, Randall Strother and Christopher Strother all of Florida.
In keeping with her wishes Shirley will be cremated and have a private family burial at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA.470, Shirley Darlene Odham
