Kenneth W. Perdue
Mr. Kenneth W. Perdue, 60, of Nitro died Nov. 18, 2007, at home surrounded with love by family members after a short battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and Raymond Perdue; and several aunts; uncles; and cousins.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Brenda; daughter, Cindy White and husband Willie; and four wonderful grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, Josh, Breanna, Brandon and Alex.
Kenneth has been a member of the Nitro Moose Lodge for 35 years, in which he was involved in many things. He was formerly employed by Motor Car Supply and security for the Nitro Moose Lodge. He will be greatly missed by many, especially his grandchildren and family.
Viewing and a special Moose memorial tribute service conducted by the Nitro Moose Lodge No. 565 will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007, with the tribute beginning at 7:30 p.m. Following the services, Mr. Perdue will be cremated and buried in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Bluefield, Va., at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kanawha Hospice, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064 or Paws of North Tazewell, 186 Nature Lane, North Tazewell, VA 24630 or Moose Charities 155 South International Drive, Chicago, IL 60539.
Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Poca, is serving the Perdue family.
