Mrs. Sharpe was born the daughter of the late Tom and the late Lillie (Ausley) Marley.
Mrs. Marley was a native of Staley, a graduate of Staley High School and Jones Business College of High Point.
She was the oldest living member of Moon´s Chapel Baptist Church.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Sharpe, sisters, Clara Marley, Mae M. Fitts, Flora M. Smith, brothers, Clarence Marley and Frank Marley.
She is survived by Nephews, Earl B. Fitts and wife, Jenny, Bill Fitts and wife, Faye, and Pearl Fitts all of Siler City, NC; Nieces, Frances Fitts Rhodes and husband, Larry of Gastonia, NC; Mary Fitts, widow of nephew, Russell Fitts of Shelby, NC 470, Irene Marley Sharpe
